Racing school

At the Kaunertal Glacier there are an assortment of racing school camps taking place every autumn, spring, and summer.  They efficiently train a new generation of professional racers and teachers for ski racing winter sports.

One of the most well known racing schools, which has held its training camps at the Kaunertal Glacier for years, due to the prime conditions there is Race Center Benni Raich, from the nearby Pitztal Valley. They are named after the famous skiing star, Benni Raich. His greatest feat to date was the double Olympic victory, at Turin, in the winter season 2005/2006.

The race camp Benni Raich Pitztal has been in existence for approx. 13 years now and is always presenting the latest in know-how. Our racing manager, Florian Raich, has succeeded in introducing the World Cup Star, Benni Raich  and ex ÖSV-woman racer Carina Raich!  This was only made possible through the assistance of his highly trained team and the tremendous knowledge provided by his father and siblings.
